How Great Is Our God — Trusting Him Always

Scripture:

“For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.” — Psalm 96:4

When we look around at creation — the beauty of a sunrise, the power of the ocean, the vastness of the stars — we catch only a glimpse of how great our God truly is. He spoke the world into being, yet He knows each of us by name. That alone should fill our hearts with awe and gratitude.

God’s greatness is not only seen in His power but also in His character. He is good, merciful, faithful, and true. He never changes, never lies, and never breaks a promise. When He says He will be with you, He means it — through the valleys, the storms, and the waiting seasons.

We can trust Him all the time because He has proven Himself trustworthy.
When Abraham waited for a promise, God was faithful.
When Daniel was in the lions’ den, God was present.
When Paul was in prison, God was powerful.

The same God who parted the Red Sea is the same God who still makes a way for you today. His greatness is not distant — it’s personal. He doesn’t just rule the universe; He rules with love and care over your life.

So when fear whispers that you’re alone, remember — your God is greater than your fear. When worry tries to take over, remember — your God has never failed. You can trust Him, not just sometimes, but all the time.

Prayer

Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised.
Thank You for being constant when everything else changes.
Even when I don’t understand what You’re doing, I choose to trust who You are — faithful, powerful, and good.
Help me to live each day in awe of Your greatness and in confidence of Your love.
