God is with you in the waiting
God Is with You in the Waiting
Scripture: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” — Psalm 23:4
Long seasons of sickness or struggle can feel like walking through a long, dark valley a place where healing seems delayed and prayers seem unanswered. But the Word reminds us that we do not walk through the valley alone. The same God who leads us beside still waters also walks with us through shadows. Sometimes the greatest miracle isn’t an instant healing, but His sustaining grace day by day.
When your strength fails, His strength carries you. When your faith feels small, His faithfulness remains great. The valley may seem endless, but valleys are never permanent they lead to higher ground.
Hope from Scripture Isaiah 40:29–31 “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak… those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles.” Even when your body feels weak, hope renews your soul. God is not done with you yet. Every breath is proof that His purpose still stands.
2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Your weakness is not a failure; it’s an opportunity for Christ’s power to shine through your life.
Reflection What has God taught you about His character during this season of struggle? How can you use your story to encourage someone else who is hurting?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being with me in the valley. Even when I don’t see healing yet, I trust that You are working in ways I cannot see. Give me strength to endure, peace to rest in You, and faith to believe that Your goodness will follow me all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
