Ps33:1 [ESV] Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright. Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings! 3Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.

Worship is an integral part of the Christian faith - it's the means by which we give thanks, praise and show God that he alone is worthy of all glory and honour and praise - Revelation 5:12 [ESV] "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"
